
Head of Chemistry

Required for September 2021, a well-qualified and enthusiastic Head of Chemistry for our dynamic, diverse and unique School. This post offers the opportunity to lead a thriving, well-resourced department and would suit someone with strong leadership, organisational and managerial skills. Chemistry is taught to IGCSE (Edexcel) and A Level (OCR – Salters B) at the School. The post is not suitable for NQTs.
Full participation in the broader life of this busy boarding community is essential. Accommodation on site is likely to be available.
Christ’s Hospital has its own pay scale, starting at £26,346 and reaching £40,803 per annum depending on teaching experience. The Head of Chemistry responsibility attracts an additional allowance of £8,638.
A substantial remission of fees is available for the successful applicant’s children at Christ’s Hospital, assuming that: a) they meet the normal academic criteria for entry; and b) a place is available.
