OBJECTIVES:

Head of Co-curriculum(HCC):  has responsibility for the School calendar, and all of the negotiations with our external vendors who visit the school. It is the responsibility of the HCC to ensure that the co-curriculum meets the School’s mission, vision, values and ethos whilst ensuring consistent quality assurance, with offerings fulfilling the highest standards of risk assessment and safeguarding. They will develop a range of activities that offer cultural, aesthetic, intellectual and sporting opportunities; analyzing provision so that the programme serves the interests of all pupils irrespective of gender, age or ability.

The School seeks to appoint a Head of the Co-curriculum (HCC). The post involves responsibility for many aspects of the day-to-day running of the School and is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to lead and develop a thriving co-curriculum, and to build on the values so important to our community.  The HCC contributes to creating and implementing the strategic vision for the school’s co-curricular provision and its development, manages key co-curricular leaders, co-ordinates staff participation, oversees the planning and delivery of key School events and ensures there is a workable and effective School Calendar. The successful candidate will be a teacher of exceptional quality, vision and energy, who will play a major role in the School’s development.

Like many other independent schools, SPGSI runs an ambitious programme of sport, music, drama, enrichment (including charity activities), competitions and Olympiads. All students are encouraged to take part in the wider co-curriculum. This means that the successful timetabling and planning of the co-curriculum, is paramount. We are looking for someone with strategic vision, an eye for detail, excellent communication skills and an ability to work harmoniously with staff. They will be responsible for the communication and implementation of co-curricular policies and procedures, for monitoring the impact and success of co-curricular activities as part of the broader education the School offers. Additionally, as part of the school’s strategic vision, in conjunction with our values of Achievement, Community, Creativity, Liberalism and Possibility, we are looking for someone who can foster resilience, confidence, teamwork and effective collaboration within students in order to develop those wider skills which will be invaluable for their future.

Education Visits Co-Ordinator (EVC):

Reporting to the Head of Senior School, the EVC will take the lead on the day-to-day planning and support of trips and visits across the school, ensuring all trips and visits are organized in accordance with school policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, experienced professional who will imbibe the values and ethos of SPGSI. The successful candidate will be a teacher of exceptional quality, vision and energy, with a passion for creating exceptional events and to make their mark across the school.

The role of Education Visits Coordinator (EVC) is to ensure that educational visits meet the school’s mission, vision, values and ethos whilst ensuring consistent quality assurance, with visits fulfilling the highest standards of risk assessment and safeguarding. The EVC will oversee and assist in all aspects of the school’s programme of trips and visits from concept through to completion.  The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and relationship builder, highly organized and with the ability to manage projects concurrently.
