Tes is supporting the appointment of an experienced teacher of Computer Science who is currently or looking to become a Head of Department in a digitally forward-thinking and well-resourced school.
As well as leading the department, the role involves teaching across all years in the Senior School and includes building on the links created with the Design Technology department through the school's bespoke Design Thinking course for Year 9.
The candidate should be willing to help promote the subject across the school through co-curricular clubs, entry into external competitions and cross-curricular links.
The Computer Science department is located with the IT Team and Design Department which supports the close collaboration of these teams. The school has a 1:1 iPad programme and is well-resourced to teach coding and physical coding.
