The Head of Computing and Digital Innovation is a brand-new role, and the postholder will be expected to develop, support and maintain the effective implementation of digital innovation for staff and pupils. We are looking for someone who can inspire and support innovative classroom practices through the implementation of technology skills and quality learning.

We are looking for a dynamic individual, who is an excellent communicator and accomplished driver of change. The person must be able to effectively motivate, challenge and inspire individual staff commitment, while identifying strengths and areas of opportunity for growth. This is a whole school position which will involve working with staff and pupils from early years to year eight.

The Head of Computing and Digital Innovation will hold particular responsibility for the development and implementation of a future-focused learning vision that is forward thinking and grounded in creativity and innovation. The role exists to work as part of a learning team to transform the school into an innovative centre of excellence that values a global perspective and aims to provide pupils with the skills and knowledge to access the world beyond the classroom.

Responsible for enhancing teaching and learning practices with a view to fostering learning for the future, the successful candidate will work with the wider staff team on the ideation, implementation and refinement of dynamic and progressive teaching, learning and assessment.

About Danes Hill School:

Danes Hill School is situated in 55 acres of landscaped grounds in the village of Oxshott, Surrey. We are a 3-13 co-educational school that values the importance of Years 7 and 8 and retains very strong numbers in the top two year groups. Whilst we are an academically demanding school, we also value the breadth of opportunity on offer beyond the taught curriculum. School is more than maths and English!

The Common Room President, elected each year, organises social events and charity fundraisers. You are also able to make use of the swimming pool and other sports facilities, before and after school, helping to burn off our renowned lunches!
