Job overview

We are seeking a Full Time Head of Computing and ICT to join our outstanding team and lead and further develop a department delivering high quality teaching and learning.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with the enthusiasm not only to stretch and encourage students in their understanding and use of ICT but also to work with staff to develop the use of digital technologies as a tool for learning. The role would be suitable for someone looking to step into their first Head of Department post but could also be expanded to provide a more experienced candidate with the opportunity to develop and lead the school’s digital learning strategy.

The successful candidate can expect to teach across the full range of ages and abilities, whilst developing their own individual role within a very supportive atmosphere and being willing to contribute to enriching activities beyond the classroom.

Potential candidates must show commitment to self-improvement and commitment to the extracurricular life of the department and of the school.

The Royal Masonic School for Girls is an independent school located on a 316-acre site in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. Providing places to both boarding and day pupils, the school is an all-through institution educating pupils aged 2-18. 

Founded in 1789, the school was originally intended for use by the children of Freemasons. It is now non-denominational and has no restrictions on attendance. As an academically selective institution, the school require potential applicants to undergo formal or informal assessment before a place is offered.
