We are looking for a Head of Department (HOD) in Business, Computing, Finance and AAT. Are you looking for your next challenge and an opportunity to improve the life chances of our learners as a Head of Department?

Here’s the standard bit: You will lead a very strong team of professional teachers across provisions in apprenticeships, student programmes, adult and commercial courses.

Developing and implementing policies and procedures which support the quality improvement of the area, you will lead members of a team to deliver appropriate curricula and ensure the sharing of good practice; developing links with the industry, employers and training providers with the focus of participating in new initiatives, increasing work based learning and work experience opportunities for all levels of learners

What you’ll need: - Enthusiasm, resilience and highly motivated with recent experience of teaching and leading on a range of programmes and a detailed knowledge of curriculum developments, the successful candidate will hold a relevant degree or equivalent and a teaching qualification and have experience of internal moderation of programmes.

Tameside College is a coeducational further education establishment. It is situated in the town of Ashton-under-Lyne, in Lancashire. It gives students a range of qualifications to choose from. This includes BTEC, Apprenticeships and degrees. The college also manages and owns Clarendon Sixth Form College, Camp Street, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire OL6 6DF.
