An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to become the Head of Department for IT, Computing and Games.  The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher and have experience of implementing quality improvement strategies in teaching and learning at a departmental and cross college level.  Experience of delivering and co-ordinating a variety of teaching programmes in FE and HE is also desirable. 

 

They will also demonstrate an excellent understanding and experience of monitoring and evaluating performance indicators in order to put in place strategies that will improve attendance, achievement rates and value-added progress measures.  


They will be forward-thinking, creative and committed to providing the very best learning experiences for our students. They will also show that they have excellent communication and organisational skills and an ability to work well with others. They will also have an excellent understanding of 16-18 Study Programmes as well as adult/HE provision. 

 

They will evidence experience of implementing strategies that will increase student recruitment, establishing meaningful and productive relationships with stakeholders and developing innovative and inspiring curriculum content. 

The post will also suit an individual who is able to inspire and lead a talented and committed teaching team and to support the Head of FutureSkills and the University Centre.
