MacKillop Catholic College is a Catholic co-educational secondary school in its 10th year of operation, and is located in the growing area of Palmerston, Northern Territory, which is approximately 20km South East of Darwin. The College caters for Years 7-12 students.

The Academic POR works collaboratively with the Principal, Leadership Team and other Academic and Pastoral POR’s in creating the opportunity for students to receive an effective education based on the Vision, Mission and Curriculum Philosophy of the College.

The Academic POR plays a vital role in the development, implementation and support of high quality, effective and relevant school curriculum which conforms to National, State/Territory educational standards and to Diocesan policies and strategic directions.

Applications are sought from suitably qualified, committed and enthusiastic individuals for the above-mentioned position.


CRITERIA FOR APPOINTMENT

  • Highly developed organisational, interpersonal and leadership skills;
  • Commitment to the mission objectives, vision and ethos of a Catholic School;
  • A willingness to work in a developing College in a fast-growing area of Australia;
  • Holds or willing to acquire the NT Teacher Registration Board registration and a NT Ochre (Working with Children) Card;
  • An excellent teaching record;
  • A proven ability to work as part of a collaborative team;
  • Qualifications to teach Mathematics;
  • .Completion and submission of the Catholic Education NT Pre-Employment Disclosure; and
  • Must be double vaccinated.

We are a coeducational secondary College situated in Palmerston, 25km from Darwin in the NT. The College was opened in 2012 and caters for students from Year 7 to Year 12.
