Job overview
We are looking for an experienced school middle leader or department deputy who is ready for the next step in their career. You will take responsibility for mathematics curriculum across all sites and work with other leaders to support the quality of mathematics teaching. You will be based at our Bretonside site teaching KS3 and KS4 and will also be a academic lead for a tutor group.
As Head of Department you will be responsible for the performance management of staff, developing teaching and learning in maths and working in collaboration with SLT and other Leaders, contributing to the ongoing CPD of all staff. As a teacher and middle leader at ACE liaising with other agencies, parents and stakeholders are key to ensuring that safeguarding and outcomes for pupils are outstanding.
You will work with SLT in providing vision, leadership and direction for the subject ensuring it is managed and budgeted to meet and surpass ACE’s aims and targets. As well as working with the SLT this role is part of the Academy's Extended leadership team.
