Applications are invited from enthusiastic, adventurous, committed and well qualified teachers to join the staff of this new school which opened in Rohtak, NCR Delhi, India in August 2016.

King’s College India has partnered with King’s College, Taunton, Somerset to set up the first British Partnership school in India. This is an opportunity for experienced teachers to be the foundation Heads of Department in this exciting new school in what is expected to become one of the leading schools in India. All staff will be expected to contribute to the wider life of this boarding and day school in pastoral, sporting and extra-curricular activities.

We are looking to recruit suitably qualified Preparatory School Heads of Department/teachers.  These positions could also be combined with House Parent roles if suitable.  Positions are available for either January 2017 or April 2017 starts.

Our Pre-prep Department is looking for teachers of Year 1 and/or Year 2 classes with experience of delivering the UK curriculum to start in January 2017.

Heads of Department will work to re-train their highly qualified and experienced Indian colleagues to deliver the fully British Preparatory School Curriculum. There may be opportunities to move up to the Senior School which will open in 2017.

About King’s College India - Rohtak

 King’s College India in Rohtak is a co-educational day and boarding school teaching students from the ages of 3-18. Opened in 2017, there is provision for 1,250 pupils on the school roll. The city of Rohtak has a population of 375,000, and is located 43 miles northwest of the capital New Delhi. The school is partnered with the historic British private school King’s College, located in Somerset. 

The curriculum at Rohak is modelled on the British Common Entrance system, progressing to qualifications at IGCSE and A level. The school also runs a Montessori Nursery. UK-trained teachers lead all aspects of school life and work alongside Indian colleagues to ensure the highest teaching standards and the strongest pastoral care. The curriculum is also adapted to include Indian cultural, artistic, geographical and historical content. Academic facilities include science laboratories, music room, large art room, ICT suite, and amphitheatre. Some sporting facilities are a cricket pitch with pavilion and practice nets, football pitch, AstroTurf hockey pitch, tennis courts and practice wall, multi-purpose hall, and courts for basketball, volleyball, and squash.
