Ark Putney Academy joined the Ark network in 2012 and is now on a journey to outstanding. We have recently undergone a £30 million renovation project and now boast facilities such as a new sports hall and state-of-the-art dance, recording studios plus new DT rooms and a DT ICT suite.   

We are now looking to recruit an exceptional individual to the role of Head of Design Technology at an exciting time in our school’s development. This is a new role to lead a growing department with established pathways in both DT and Catering at GCSE   The successful candidate will offer skills under the wide umbrella of Design Technology to include Product Design, Textiles and Food Technology; you will be required to teach across all key stages, and must be well qualified with a proven experience of strong teaching working successfully with students of all abilities. The successful candidate will be interested in expanding the DT department and offering A Level courses.

Ark Putney Academy is a mixed secondary school with sixth form in Putney, south-west London. The school has recently undergone a refurbishment and now boasts exceptional indoor and outdoor sports facilities, plus an arts centre, spacious classrooms and specialist teaching rooms.
