The HCUC group is comprised of Harrow College and Uxbridge College in West London.   We offer a wide range of courses and training to a diverse student community of around 9,000 students and have well-established Digital Learning and Learning Resource Centre provision.  

As Head of Digital Learning and Learning Resource Centres, you would maintain and develop the College’s investment in Google Apps, Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and Student Apps, ensuring eLearning is implemented effectively to enhance the curriculum and that HCUC is kept at the forefront of developments in this area.   You would run training programmes for staff and advise them on Google Classroom usage, be responsible for staff training on the College’s Smartscreens, manage the College Intranet and line manage a team of Digital Skills Trainers and Digital Learning Manager. The post holder will be an active member of the College’s Safeguarding team, taking the lead on eSafety.   You would also be responsible for overseeing the Learning Resource Centres at Uxbridge, Hayes, Harrow on the Hill and Harrow Weald and line managing the LRC Managers for Uxbridge and Harrow to ensure smooth operation of the popular Learning Resource Centres.

You should possess a relevant degree or equivalent level qualification and have knowledge and experience of eLearning provision and up to date developments.  You should be familiar with Virtual learning Environments and the use of mobile Apps in education and have some experience of managing or leading a team. Experience in App development would be desirable.
