Job overview

We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational leader to take responsibility for the leadership and delivery of digital learning and development throughout the school, ensuring that staff and pupils are aware of the ambitious digital vision and strategy moving forward. The Head of Digital Learning will lead on teaching and learning using digital means across the whole school.  Computer Science, at GCSE and A Level, and BTEC Creative Media, at Level 2 and 3 are popular choices within the school and the candidate should be a dynamic and inspiring subject leader in at least one of these disciplines. This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary teacher and subject leader to play a key role in an important and growing subject area across the School. 

This is a full time post.

Applications are invited from candidates who hold a recognised teaching qualification have a keen interest in computing and are capable of strategic, innovative leadership. The ability to deliver high quality lessons combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential pre-requisites.

Shebbear College is a small (350 pupils from 2-18) co-educational independent day and boarding school set in 85 acres of North Devon countryside. The school benefits from the security and camaraderie of its membership of MIST (the Methodist Independent Schools Trust) and enjoys a sound financial base.
