Ashville Harrogate is looking for an inspiring Head of Drama and Theatre Studies to join our busy Drama department.
The Head of Drama and Theatre Studies should be an outstanding innovative teacher who is prepared to lead by example, enthusing the department and all pupils in the Senior School.
The ideal candidate will have oversight of the development of Drama and Theatre Studies as part of the departmental and whole school academic vision, as directed by the Deputy Head (Academic).
Excellent organisational and IT skills are required for this position. The ability to work with a wide variety of people who possess different capacities and ability levels is essential, as are the qualities of patience, attention to detail, a sense of humour and a sense of commitment as a team player.

Ashville College is a co-educational, independent school for day and boarding pupils aged 2–18. The college, set in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, comprises a pre-school, prep school and senior school with pupil numbers totaling around 870, 170 of whom are in the sixth form and 100 are boarders. The school is a registered charity, administered by Ashville College Trustees.
Ashville College was founded in 1877 as a boarding school for boys by the United Methodist Free Church. Expansion over the decades culminated in a merger with Elmfield College, Harrogate, in the 1930s, by which time Ashville was the largest private school in the north of England. The most significant development came in 1982 when the school become co-educational.
