Preston Manor is a successful, oversubscribed, all-through Co-operative School in the highly diverse London borough of Brent. We are a large learning community with students from ages 4-19 years old and our curriculum expands across six key stages. We achieve very strong academic results and are ready to move the whole school to outstanding.

The school is situated close to the exciting new London Designer Outlet and is a short 10 minute walk from Wembley Park and Preston Road Underground Stations and a 10 minute bus journey from North Wembley Station. It can be easily reached using the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines as well as the Bakerloo line and London Overground. Central London locations can be reached within 20 minutes from the School.

Preston Manor is a high achieving and successful school and is looking for an excellent teacher to lead this committed department and to continue to build on its existing strengths and successes.

The successful candidate will have the vision, creativity and experience to drive the continued development of the Drama Department (and its place within the wider Faculty of Performing Arts) as a valued and popular group of subjects and qualifications amongst our school community. They will join an energetic school which strives to ensure that all students enjoy learning and surpass expectations of achievement.

Drama is a popular subject across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 and expectations of student behaviour and learning are high. GCSE and A-level Drama are offered and the department is well resourced for the teaching of these courses. The faculty as a whole also offers a BTEC in Performing Arts.

The Drama department have successfully coordinated and contributed to whole school musicals and performances and are involved in cross curricular events such as ‘One World’ (A multi-cultural performance), ‘take over’ days and awards/parents evening show cases.

Preston Manor School is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through state school with academy status, based in Wembley, north-west London, for children aged 4-18. It is a member of the family of Co-operative Trust Schools. It is a large school with approximately 1,900 pupils. Situated within a multicultural community, the school offers additional support for pupils who speak English as an additional language. Diversity and tolerance is a key message in its ethos.
