Head of Drama

Tes are supporting this school who are seeking an outstanding Drama teacher who is willing to take this well established and successful Drama department to the next level.

The curriculum will be fully bookleted by July 2024 and requires a strong candidate to take planning and delivery to the next level.

As a school, they are committed to Drama as a discipline.

All middle leaders are open to apply to this Associate Senior Leadership programme which involves joining the SLT as a paid position for a year.

This role is part time, 0.8FTE.

The school believe that teachers are the experts, and that great teaching is based on their ability to instruct and assess to a very high standard.

They believe in the power of the curriculum and so intentionally have the following at the core of their practice:   

• A pragmatic approach to pedagogical practice that reduces teacher workload     
• Teaching powerful knowledge rather than parroting the knowledge of the powerful     
• CPD which is rooted in the best educational research, often with a foundation in cognitive science
