Required from January 2020, the governors are seeking to appoint a passionate and well-qualified specialist to lead the Drama Department. You will have responsibility for curriculum provision in KS3 - KS5 and overall responsibility for the development of drama at the school.

We are looking for an inspirational and enthusiastic qualified teacher to join our Creative Arts Faculty, who can demonstrate creative flair and the following qualities:

  • A passion for excellence in the teaching of drama
  • Ambitious, forward-thinking, flexible and self-motivated
  • The ability to teach up to A level preferred
  • The ability to maintain and raise standards of student attainment and achievement and to monitor and support student progress
  • The ability to effectively lead, manage and motivate staff within the team and the capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to deliver a high-quality annual school production and provide other support for students to showcase their talents
  • The attributes to be a strong form tutor.

About St Alban's Catholic High School

St Alban’s Catholic High School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form with academy status located in Ipswich, Suffolk. It is the only Catholic High School in the Ipswich area and religious education forms part of the core curriculum. 

The School premises have been improved in recent years with the addition of a new sixth form block and library and the refurbishment of some existing facilities.
