Bromsgrove Preparatory School throws away straightjackets, opens minds and challenges young people to think for themselves. Day pupils and boarders enjoy being young at Bromsgrove: it is a proven pathway to fulfilment when one is older. We can’t be done with the boring or predictable because children are not. Standards, discipline and unadulterated fun are not at odds with one another.
The School is not merely the feeder to one of Britain’s most successful Senior Schools but an outstanding stand alone Preparatory School in its own right. Compassion, warmth and smiles can and do coexist with the highest academic expectations, an inclusive but play-to-win attitude to sport, and a cultural programme whose breadth and flair permeates School life.
A group of teachers working in both Senior and Preparatory Schools ensure continuity of ethos and expectation, but the gentle, encouraging atmosphere so vital to younger children is manifest in teaching styles, communal attitudes and a vibrant sense of belonging.
Bromsgrove Preparatory School takes children, not systems, as its starting point, and aims to produce dynamic young people who face the next stage of their educational journey with confidence.
