Driffield School and Sixth Form is an 11-19 comprehensive school serving approximately 1,600 students living in Driffield and the surrounding Wolds.
Following a critical Ofsted report in March 2016, the school is in the process of converting to academy status. It is currently supported by the Wolds Teaching Schools Alliance and the Education Alliance Multi Academy Trust (a MAT) as it addresses the Post-Ofsted Action Plan and moves towards working as a MAT member. During the school’s transition staff and governors are committed to improving the quality of teaching and learning and raising standards.
You will lead the team at Driffield School and Sixth Form in supporting all its students to make outstanding progress. This is a critical role as the school goes through a period of significant change.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work with an outstanding Trust to improve the quality of education provided at the school and ensure its future success. As Head of School, you will be working with a strong Trust Board and leadership team with a proven track record of success and you will liaise closely with other Heads of School within the Trust. Consequently, you are not expected to undertake this task on your own but, equally, leaders and governors can’t do this without the right person as Head of School in place.
