Job overview

Trinity Academy is a highly oversubscribed free school that opened in 2019. We are a values based community that focuses on the learning of all students and staff, that cares deeply for our young people and each other and that is committed to co-curricular enrichment.

As a new school that believes in harnessing the power of technology to improve learning, this role offers the unique opportunity to design and lead the delivery of a digital literacy and fluency programme in Phase 1 (Years 7 and 8), as well as Computer Science curriculum from Phase 2 (Years 9 and 10) onwards. Beyond this, the role provides the right candidate with the challenge of supporting staff and our whole community in being at the forefront of taking advantage of technological innovation in the pursuit of our mission to become a world class school.

First and foremost, we need a skilled technologist. We are open to any creative discussion about the teaching involved in this post and welcome conversations with teachers of any subject, or none, who have a passion for education. Fundamentally we need a creative and strategic technology thinker, who is already, or has the potential to become an outstanding classroom practitioner and school leader.

We are committed to your professional development and as a growing school there is considerable opportunity for career development both within the Academy and across the Cathedral Schools Trust.

Applications are welcome from outstanding teachers with a track record of high impact, both in their classroom practice and their experience of pastoral leadership and care.

For further details about the role please see the job description and person specification.

If you would like to find out more about the school including FAQs, please visit the website at: www.trinityacademybristol.org.

Please note that we will only consider applications through TES and will not consider CVs so please ensure that your supporting statement on the application meets the requirements of the person specification. We encourage you to be succinct and to restrict your supporting statement to no more than four pages in length.

Closing date: 8th January 2021

Interview: 18th January 2021

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All posts at Cathedral Schools Trust are subject to pre-employment checks including, but not limited to, initial and periodic enhanced level checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Cathedral Schools Trust recognises the strength in diversity. Our schools have a wide range of cultural, socio economic and religious influences and we use this to ensure that we broaden our understanding of each other and the world.  We welcome applications of all backgrounds but particularly welcome those from BAME backgrounds as we recognise that our staff team does not currently reflect the diversity of our student body.
