Job overview

Do you have ambition and determination to secure positive outcomes for young people?

Are you an inspirational practitioner and leader of people?

Are you looking for your next challenge? We may have just what you are looking for!

Barlborough Hall School sits in beautiful tranquil surroundings: an ideal environment where children feel safe and happy, to nurture their thirst for learning in these early years of their education.

Working at Barlborough Hall School in any capacity is a privilege. It is a special community with a proud history and a bright future, where staff and pupils work hard to achieve success. Hardworking teachers and staff with the ability to consistently engage and inspire young people are our most precious resource.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Head of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to lead and manage the EYFS provision, including management of the nursey and teaching a Reception class at Barlborough Hall School. Reporting to the Headteacher, the post holder will be responsible for aspects of the whole school development plan in relation to Early Years, leading on inspections and ensuring the EYFS is compliant with the ISI Regulatory Requirements, and monitoring and evaluating the quality of the service. Other key tasks include leading the weekly EYFS meeting and attending other meetings as required, overseeing reports and communications to parents and ensuring the development and management of EYFS staff.

As a Primary School Teacher, you will inspire and encourage the children in a stimulating and structured learning environment, through innovative lesson planning and utilising a range of teaching methods to ensure the needs of all pupils are met. An important part of the role is establishing positive and secure relationships with families through regular communication, sharing learning outcomes and targets and leading termly parents’ evenings.

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join us at this pivotal time in the life of the School where you can make a significant contribution and impact to its success. The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in an EYFS setting, including management experience in EYFS learning goals and assessment, alongside being an excellent and innovative classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire and motivate children and teachers alike, who will adopt inventive and dynamic approaches to further the success of the school.

A willingness to support the ethos of the school is essential. There are many opportunities for professional development through contributing to extra-curricular activities and whole school initiatives.

This is a great opportunity for the right individual to be part of a vibrant co-educational day school in the Jesuit tradition, catering for the needs of children aged 3 -11 from all denominations in a truly ecumenical and happy environment.
