Job type:
Full Time, Fixed Term
Start date:
August 2016

Job overview

For its new state of the art campus in Bangkok, Thailand.

Norwich is a International School in the suburbs of Bangkok using the British Curriculum.  After opening its gates in August 2014 we are now completing the second part of our ambitious expansion plan; the opening of our new Early Years Center.

This new building, built on over 2000 SQM, has been designed and equipped with all the latest resources necessary to provide a fulfilling, creative and safe learning environment for our 2-5 year old learners and will form the basis of our continuing school expansion. No expense has been spared on this center and its completion will mark the end of phase two of our development plan and the beginning of phase three; the building of the secondary school.

The new Head of Early Years will be conversant with all the latest developments in Early Years education, ambitious to implement new and creative systems and willing to encompass a new and changing school from its very early beginnings.

The CIS accreditation process will begin as soon as possible and the successful applicant will be required to take a very active role in this. IB is a target for us too, so an interest in this program would be very useful. All applicants should remember that we are effectively an ESL school and all our young learners begin with little or no English and that the acquisition of English language skills are high on our parents priority list.

Norwich is very keen to stress its interest is new and innovative early years educational techniques and is looking for an open minded experienced applicant who can lead the school forward. We are also a school with strong links to Thai Buddhism and these meditation and Yoga methods will form an integral part of our long term program.

An excellent remuneration package, 2-3 year contract, flights, comprehensive health insurance and other benefits are being offered.

Please apply to:  head@norwichschool.ac.th   with your full resume, recent picture and at least two references.

Norwich International School

Opened in August of 2014 Norwich and has established itself as a leading school in the community. With its comprehensive facilities and dedicated staff Norwich has grown from a brand-new school to one supporting over 250 children.

We are in the final planing stages for the building of our sports center and moving forward to the final part of our development plan as a combined British and IB curriculum school with full facilities for all age groups

A great place to see Norwich is to visit our website and Facebook page and familiarise yourself with the atmosphere and ethos of the school. You will also notice within the pages of the site the school’s close attachment to practices of Mindfulness and Thai Buddhism. An understanding and interest in these disciplines is essential for students and staff alike.

The school also recognises the steady influence of China in this part of the globe and since 2016 has included Mandarin lessons for all students.
