Head of Economics

The core purpose of this Head of Economics post is to take the lead in teaching Economics at GCSE and A level and to contribute to the overall development of this already strong and successful department. 

It is expected that the successful candidate will consistently plan and deliver good and outstanding lessons within the department. The College offers a range of Economics courses at Key Stage 4 and 5. We are looking for an innovative and forward–looking individual who can inspire students and contribute fully to a very active and successful team. 

Having subject and curriculum knowledge so that the department has up-to-date schemes of learning and resources will be invaluable to the leadership of the Economics team. We seek for our Head of Economics to also be able to actively contribute to the development of teaching, learning and assessment. Having an understanding of what makes excellent quality of education within Economics (intent, implementation and impact) will be valuable too.
