We are looking to recruit an inspiring teacher of Economics and Business to head up our very successful department. Typically, over half of the 6th Form cohort will choose these subjects. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner and bring passion and enthusiasm to the role, along with the ability to teach proactive and focused lessons at KS4 for Business and KS5 for Economics and Business. You will hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification along with the desire and dedication to ensure high standards of pupil progression and attainment.
The successful candidate must have the ability to put economics and business theory into a context that is understood and to communicate ideas in a variety of ways. Possession of up-to-date subject knowledge is essential, including a wide knowledge of current economic and business events.
As Head of Department, you will have strong people and administration skills to provide strategic direction and development of Economics and Business within the College, cultivating teaching and learning by ensuring high expectations of staff and pupils within a happy and purposeful environment.
