Who Are We?

Ursuline High School, Wimbledon, is an OFSTED outstanding, voluntary-aided, comprehensive high school for Roman Catholic girls from 11-18 under the Trusteeship of the Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark. The school is graded by Ofsted as being ‘outstanding’ and as Grade 1 by the Diocesan S48 Inspection.  We are a lead school for the Government’s new Trailblazers programme for Mental Health.

Merton schools are top in England for Progress 8, the Ursuline has been in the top 5% for the past few years and has a tradition of academic excellence, addressing individual needs and service in the spirit of St Angela. The curriculum equips girls with skills for the modern, global world and develops them as independent and critical learners and confident communicators.

Ursuline High School has been serving the local Catholic community since 1892 and is heavily oversubscribed, with 5 applications for each place available.  The school has 1391 students on roll, including 352 in the Sixth Form.

About out Sixth Form

Ursuline High School and Wimbledon College Sixth Forms are highly successful and dynamic Catholic comprehensive Sixth Forms. At the heart of each Sixth Form are the distinctive Jesuit and Ursuline ethoi, evidenced by the excellent relationship between staff and students and aspirational hardworking students. Who are we looking for?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and proven teacher to lead our Economics Department forward at KS5.

The Business and Economics department is a flourishing department located alongside our Computing department in our Dorothy Kazel building.

The Sixth Form has amazing students and an outstanding CPD programme. It is situated in the heart of Wimbledon with easy access to Central London and the South East.

Applicants should be committed to working within the Catholic ethos of the school.

The position is subject to enhanced DBS disclosure.
