As a Head of Education you will take a strategic lead in raising educational attainment for all and closing the equity gap. You will lead establishments and personnel in a number of Learning Communities and contribute to the wider management of the entire service.

You will also direct policies and procedures that contribute to securing improvement across all establishments and will lead on a range of matters relating to quality assurance, support for vulnerable children and families, and responses to parental/carer issues.

You will be a key member of the Resource Management Team and will be required to continually review activities and seek best value for money. You must be able to analyse performance information and translate this into the effective deployment of resources.

Suitable candidates for this challenging role will demonstrate experience and understanding of the key challenges facing Education Resources. They will have a track record of success in leading within an educational setting, proven experience in inspiring staff, excellent communication skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with various stakeholders, including elected members.
