Salary:   HoLC Grade £45,722 - £58,373 per annum inclusive of London Weighting Allowance 

Hours:   36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, All year round

Orchard Hill College is a National Specialist College for adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We operate out of centres in Carshalton, New Malden, Wandsworth, Camberwell Green and Uxbridge and were graded Outstanding by Ofsted in November 2019.

Orchard Hill College is a dynamic, forward-looking organisation.  We provide a wide range of quality full-time and part-time courses for young people and adults with learning difficulties and/or barriers to learning. Employability course currently take place in Camberwell, Carshalton and Kingston.

We are looking for a bright, diligent and enthusiastic Head of Employability Courses to manage a staff team that work across different college centre locations. 

Within this role, you will be responsible for the strategic and professional leadership of the service, ensuring that strategies are in place to deliver the best employment outcomes for our students. You will also support the ongoing development and the implementation of our work placement strategy so that the highest impact and best employment outcomes are achieved for our students. You will need to provide leadership, develop courses and allocate resources, in line with the College statement of intent and core principles. 

You will work under the direction of the Assistant Head of College to lead the staff team in the provision of high quality education within the remit of the policies adopted by governors.

You will need Qualified Teacher Status in Lifelong Learning, good/outstanding experience of teaching students with learning disabilities, and successful management experience.
