Kingston College, part of the South Thames College Group, are now looking to appoint a Head of Employability to take responsibility for the overall development of employer engagement activities across the colleges and ensuring all students undertake an appropriate and relevant period of work experience / placement. The Head of Employability will also have responsibility for the development and implementation of a range of key activities to ensure all students have the opportunity to develop their employability skills and knowledge.
With a Degree or appropriate professional qualification, the successful candidate will have experience of Work Based learning provision and have a proven track record of managing a team. With a good understanding of the process of curriculum development, accreditation and validation, you will have significant experience of working with a range of employers and clear success of employer engagement activities.
Comfortable obtaining new business, you will have sound knowledge of the curriculum offered in the college and a firm grasp of current and impending changes to the curriculum. You will have experience of managing a range of employability activities, have a track record of making sustained improvements and be competent when it comes to arranging high quality events and/or programmes such as; coordinating employability weeks, producing Schemes of Work, Lesson Plans and Resources to support learning.
