Full Time – Head of Engineering  We require from September an Engineering specialist Design Technology teacher with the ability to teach across all key stages. This will include delivering BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 in mechanical engineering, and Key stage 3 Design Technology across a range of specialisms. We are looking for innovative and enthusiastic candidates who are passionate about teaching Design and Technology in a forward thinking department. At CTC KingsHurst Academy, you will be expected to motivate and work well with all students, committed to supporting them achieve their goals. As part of a supportive team, you will deliver a rich curriculum, using data and interventions to help secure the enthusiasm and success of our students. The team is firmly committed to reflective and innovative practice in line with the Academy’s intentions.    Courses within Design and Technology and Engineering are popular at the Academy with significant growth in student numbers in recent years. Achievement rates are high on all programmes, in particular our post 16 Engineering students, achieving sort after apprenticeships with companies such as Rolls Royce, Siemens and Severn Trent. The Engineering specialism is a course that is expanding in popularity and therefore student uptake contributing to the need for this exciting opportunity.    The successful candidate will join an existing team of dedicated teachers and technicians.
