We are looking  for an enthusiastic and experienced Head of EAL to join our dynamic team.

You will lead and develop our existing team, driving standards and practise, reviewing our systems and processes and you will believe strongly in our culture of continual improvement.

The English department at Abbey College prides itself on its strong interest in developing the English language abilities of international students with the specific aims of: improving student performance on Abbey College’s academic programmes; and helping students to achieve the IGCSE/IELTS scores demanded by their chosen university.

The department itself is lively - teachers are encouraged to discuss techniques and share best practise. The team is professional and hard-working but always works with good humour.  Teachers feel that they can make a difference and help students progress; there are regular opportunities to work with other academic areas and the team shares a strong feeling of satisfaction in a job well done.

• Leading the EAL Department

• Facilitating the college’s goal of high student academic achievement
