This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated professional to join our English faculty, with the opportunity to take responsibility for an aspect of whole school development at an exciting time in the school’s journey. We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring and excellent practitioner to join our extended leadership team from September 2024.

Our skilful team of teachers has built an ambitious and impactful curriculum noted by Ofsted for a deliberate choices of texts, very detailed plans and careful decisions about sequencing so that knowledge can be built over time in the lead up to AQA GCSE English Language and Literature. Our English teachers have embedded robust routines, using oracy and digital technology to enable students to achieve their potential. A level English is very popular and currently we offer AQA A levels in English Literature, English Language and English Language and Literature.

Our English team also enjoy promoting English beyond the curriculum too through World Book Day, theatre trips, visits to university lectures and through extra-curricular clubs.

The successful applicant will:

·       Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching and learning.

·       Have a record of consistently delivering strong GCSE results across a range of ability levels.
