The School: GEMS Metropole School, Dubai

Located in Motor City in Dubai, the School opened in September 2014 educating students from FS1 to Year 9 and will build to a full FS to Year 12 School of 4200 students in subsequent years. The school has two areas of specialism; Health and Wellbeing and Digital Media and also pilots the Skills in Schools initiative. In addition to well-equipped classrooms, the school has good sports provision, including a pool and 4 digital media rooms, full WiFi coverage,
dedicated science labs, music, art rooms and libraries.

FS students have access to attractive indoor and outdoor learning areas and access to high quality ICT, including Ipads and interactive whiteboards. All other classrooms are equipped with large LCD screens. The school follows the
National Curriculum for England, offering IGCSE, AS and A level courses and the medium of teaching is English.

The Post:
Head of English

We are looking for an outstanding Head of English to join our School from January 2017. Applicants will be fully qualified teachers with exceptional subject knowledge and experience of leading a high performing teaching team.

Applicants will have experience teaching GCSE and A-Level. We are seeking to appoint talented, highly motivated and well-qualified individuals. You should have a proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching within a National Curriculum for England setting although this is not essential.
