Head of English required for a friendly and supportive Secondary Academy based in East Yorkshire.
Tes is currently seeking an ambitious Head of English for a well-renowned and recently rated GOOD school seeking to appoint a Head of English that has fresh ideas to develop their fantastic English Department.
The role will include managing the delivery of English at KS3, GCSE and A-level across year groups 7 to 13. You will support the Senior Leadership Team, enhancing provision and school curriculum to ensure learners receive the best chance at attaining that all-important Grade 4 or above.
The school has a fantastic and friendly ethos and you will benefit from an SLT mentor and fantastic peer support. The current department comprises of TA's, classroom practitioners and key stage coordiantors/2I/C professionals to help support you in your role. Perfect for aspiring second in charge or key stage coordinators looking for their next step into Leadership.
The school wants to hear from passionate Middle Leaders who have experience in delivering engaging lessons. The school want to bring back the magic to English and the arts and want to hear from you!

The school expects:
- a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- a relevant BA in English or a related subject
- previous experience of delivering English up to A-level, engaging and stretching pupil ability
