Head of English
We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational Head of English to lead a talented team at Rednock School.
You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire students and model excellence in teaching and learning. As a team player, you will support and challenge colleagues to excel.
This would be an ideal role for either an experienced Head of Department, or someone seeking to progress their career. This is a key appointment for Rednock School, and an exciting opportunity to motivate, inspire and further develop outstanding practice.
You will be passionate about English, with strong leadership skills with high expectations and ambition for every one of our students. The post will require the successful candidate to be able to teach English across all key stages.
In return, we can offer you enthusiastic students, superb facilities and excellent opportunities for career development. Rednock School is a rural 11-18 comprehensive with excellent road links, spectacular views over rolling hills, and was graded as a ‘good’ school by Ofsted in our most recent inspection. We offer excellent CPD for all staff, and as a new member of our middle leadership team you will enjoy the support provided by a tailored induction programme, the opportunity to be mentored by an experienced middle leader and the possibility of collaborating with colleagues from other local schools to share and develop strong practice.
The post is full-time and permanent and will start in September 2021. Please complete an application form and a detailed covering letter, outlining how your qualities and experiences have prepared you for this role. Please forward completed applications marked for the attention of Mr David Alexander, Head Teacher, to jobs@rednockschool.org.uk. The closing date for applications is 8am Wednesday 21st April 2021.
