Head of English

Ryde School seeks to appoint a full time Head of English to work in the Senior section of the School (KS3 to Sixth Form) and to be fully involved in the Department, both in the classroom and through co-curricular activities associated with the discipline, such as creative writing and journalism.

Candidates must fully complete a Ryde School Application Form (below) or attach a CV to their application, including the names, addresses and telephone numbers of two referees including their current employer. (We will check with the candidate before contacting referees).

Interviews are expected to take place in Ryde in the week beginning Monday 24 January. Preliminary interviews may be online but we would hope to ensure physical interviews before appointment which would include a chance to visit the School and meet pupils and staff, depending on the circumstances of the candidate. Provision will be made for families of candidates to visit at the same time.
