The English department is housed in the Discover Village where all classrooms have an Interactive White Board, desktop computer and a visualiser enabling you to deliver engaging lessons. Outside of the classrooms we have a computer suite that can also be utilised. The working environment is excellent and innovative in design with very well-resourced work areas. Student success and displays of work are prominent. Furthermore, you will benefit from a highly organised curriculum plan where all lessons are planned and stored on the Academy's online curriculum.
You will be joining an English department that has a proven track record of students making good progress in line or above the national average. We are really pleased with the excellent progress our disadvantage learners make. You will be stepping into a department of eleven teachers with a range of skills and abilities, currently managed by a Director of English, who is supported by a Curriculum Assistant.
From the moment you join us you will feel welcomed and supported by an experienced and varied team, who are wholly focused on teaching and learning. As part of your induction into the Academy and the English department, you will be well supported through a comprehensive programme of induction, training and coaching to ensure you continue to develop as a teacher.
If you are a talented professional with passion, commitment and resilience, and if you are driven to make a difference to the lives and futures of young people, we would like to hear from you. Please contact Clare Read, Director of English, for more information on 01908 341700 or email us at email@example.com
