An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Head of English at The Oxford Academy.  We are a Good school with Outstanding Leadership Management and Professional Development and ranked in the top 0.2% of schools nationally and where behaviour in and around the school is positive.

The Oxford Academy is seeking to appoint an excellent and energetic Head of English.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about their subject and can teach across the ability range at all Key Stages, who can show evidence of visible impact on student outcomes in their current post and who will have the capacity to raise attainment through motivating and inspiring students.    

The ideal candidate will be a strong classroom practitioner with outstanding subject knowledge and communication skills, the ability to think strategically with excellent teamwork skills.  You will need effective leadership skills and able to show the motivation and commitment required to achieve ambitious targets and exceed expectations both within your department and for the Academy as a whole. You will be someone who has high expectations of themselves and others, with the clear potential to become an outstanding leader, someone thoroughly committed to making a difference to students’ lives.
