St. Hilda’s, which is situated on the edge of Sefton Park in South Liverpool, is a welcoming and supportive community. We have high expectations of behaviour and there are excellent relationships between staff and pupils based on mutual respect. St Hilda’s is a high-performing, over-subscribed comprehensive school with a Sixth Form. In 2015, Ofsted judged the school to be Good and in 2017 SIAMS (church schools’ inspection) rated the school Outstanding.
As the successful candidate, you would be joining us at a very exciting time. In September 2015, the school moved into a brand new £15.5 million building and, for the first time, boys were admitted into year 7. St Hilda's is in the process of evolving, year on year, from an all-girls school (with a mixed sixth form) to become fully co-educational.
We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher from September 2018 to take responsibility for the management and strategic development of the English department within the school.
The successful candidate will have:
• the ability to teach consistently Good or better English lessons up to and including A-level.
• proven record of adding value to pupils’ English attainment and;
• successful management experience and proven leadership skills.
We welcome potential applicants visiting the school in advance of making an application. Please apply by completing an application form and submitting it via e-mail to Etopping@st-hildas.co.uk
