Head of English with Responsibility for Literacy across Curriculum

Salary: MS - UPS + TLR 1b £9661

The Kidsgrove Secondary School are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher and leader to manage our successful English Department. This is a pivotal vacancy as the school seeks to ensure our learners are provided with the best possible opportunities to develop their skills in this subject. The successful applicant will also be responsible for coordinating whole school literacy provision.

Based primarily at The Kidsgrove Secondary School you will work alongside both Shaw Education Trust Executive Leadership team and the Academy Senior Leadership team. 

Notwithstanding the detail in this job description, the jobholder will undertake such work as may be determined by the Head of School from time to time, up to, or at a level consistent with the main responsibilities of the job.
