Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative leader of English, with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to achieving high standards within a thriving department. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background and be an excellent classroom practitioner who is capable of inspiring and motivating students. The English team comprises of 9 other specialist teachers and the department is located in the Betjeman Building, which opened in 2019. The successful candidate will continue to drive improvement in the department through leading the department’s weekly subject planning and development time (2 hours each Monday) to further develop the curriculum and its implementation. This post would suit candidates who are looking to make the move into senior leadership in the future.
