The Grey Coat Hospital is seeking to recruit a dynamic teacher to lead an extremely strong and successful department. Students year on year attain over 90% A*-C in English Language  and Literature at GCSE. English Literature at A level is one of the most popular and high attaining subjects.

The school is situated in the heart of central London close to excellent transport links. We are a heavily oversubscribed Church of England comprehensive school for girls with excellent GCSE results (83% 5+ A*-C including English and Mathematics in 2016.) We also have a large sixth form of 240 students where students achieve outstanding results with a percentage of top grades well above the national average.

The school when last inspected was judged to be ‘outstanding’ by OFSTED in March 2009 and November 2005.  We are proud of our ethos of continued self-improvement, which characterises every aspect of our culturally diverse school. Since 2012, the school has been named amongst the top 100 non-selective state-funded schools, in recognition of excellent attainment and progress of our students at KS4. The school is committed to building on our passion for excellent teaching and learning as well as continuing to place an emphasis on our language specialism and international ethos.

We are a heavily oversubscribed Church of England multi-ethnic comprehensive academy for girls offering a rich educational experience for girls from 11 to 16, and for girls and boys in the Sixth Form. The school is situated in the heart of central London close to excellent transport links.
