(Computing Specialist) 

Potential for Associate Assistant Principal for suitably qualified candidates. 

Required: September 2021 (or earlier if possible) 

Salary: Competitive, depending on skills, experience and role appointed to. 


Thank you for your interest in becoming Head of Enterprise Faculty at the Forest Academy. The Forest Academy is on an exciting journey, and we are looking for a leader who is committed to making a difference to the lives of our students.  We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational leader, who will lead our computer science department and the wider enterprise faculty.


Suitably qualified candidates will be considered for an Associate Assistant Principal role. 


The successful applicant will have high expectations, and will be a reflective practitioner who is always keen to develop and improve their teaching.  They will lead the computing department in rolling-out computer science as a GCSE subject, improving and refining the curriculum and ensuring our provision is of an excellent standard. They will lead the faculty of heads of department across technology, finance and business. 


Candidates will appreciate their role in helping our students to have high aspirations, and they will share our belief that our students deserve an exceptional curriculum and the very best teaching.  They will, like us, believe in our students.  

  

About The Forest Academy:

The Forest Academy (TFA) is a part of the Beacon Multi Academy Trust, along with Beal High School, North East London Teaching Alliance (NELTA) and Beacon Business Innovation Hub (BBIH). 

TFA is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive school, located in the north east corner of Redbridge.

TFA and Beal sixth forms amalgamated in September 2018. The 6th form is co-located at TFA and Beal High School, with c. 250 6th form students based at TFA.

The Forest Academy

The Forest Academy is a medium-sized, community school integral to the Beacon Multi - Academy Trust. We are a good school (Ofsted, 2023), serving a diverse and vibrant community in Hainault.

Values and vision

We are proud of the inclusive nature of TFA, particularly our Additionally Resourced Provision, Beacon Communication School, for students with a range of social communication difficulties including Autism and Asperger’s syndrome, with a new 6thform provision as part of Beal 6th form.
