We are seeking a Head of Estates and Facilities to oversee the operational excellence, health & safety, and facilities management across our 3 secondary schools and 2 special schools.
This role is critical to ensuring that our learning environments are safe, secure, and conducive to educational excellence. Based at our Penn Hall Central Team office, the successful candidate will be instrumental in aligning operational practices with our Trust's vision and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
To lead the implementation of an estate vision and strategy and to manage all aspects of the school’s properties including upkeep, care, maintenance, security, health and safety and facilities management in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
To maintain refurbishment and other building advancements in terms of bidding, developing and procuring and to act as the Trust representative with suppliers to the estates, professional advisers and contractors.
To hold to account the Catering, Site and Cleaning staff/service through business KPI’s in order to ensure effective delivery of services to trust schools.
To lead, support and develop Catering and Site teams across the Trust.
Requirements:
Proven management experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
A professional, proactive, and solutions-focused approach.
Strong experience in premises management and health & safety regulations.
Exceptional strategic planning and staff management skills.
Excellent negotiation and commercial skills, with a commitment to the Trust's values and vision.
