Head of Faculty – ICT

Queensbury is a large Secondary Special School which caters for 248 students with Moderate Learning Difficulties and a range of complex needs. Our students are effectively supported by bespoke interventions in order that they reach their full potential. Our positive, caring ethos provides a safe, stable, hardworking learning environment where everyone is valued.

Due to Staff retirement, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Middle Leader to join our friendly and committed team for September 2016. The successful candidate must be an outstanding classroom practitioner and have the vision, drive and capacity to lead change and help to move the school forward following our recent Ofsted inspection.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the ICT Faculty and for ensuring students receive outstanding outcomes and fully reach their potential. You will achieve this through rigorous analysis of data, the development of colleagues within your Faculty and working collaboratively with Staff across the school.

You must be passionate and ambitious about special school provision and achieving the best for children and young people. Experience of working with young people who are working within P Levels to Level 1 Qualifications is essential.
