An opportunity has arisen to join Exeter College as Head of Faculty for Construction and the Built Environment. Exeter as a City, is the second fastest growing city in the Country and the Construction Industry is booming in the local area. Exeter College is currently planning to extend its existing Construction Centre next year to accommodate growth and to prepare for the delivery of T-Levels. In addition, the college plans to develop and build a new construction centre over the next 3 to 5 years, so the new Head of Faculty will be absolutely key to these endeavours. The Faculty is currently housed in its own dedicated Centre, just off the M5 Motorway and close to a train station.

Exeter College is a large, thriving and growing tertiary college which places teaching, learning and student success as our top priority. We enjoy an excellent reputation. We have high expectations of our students and staff and each year their combined efforts result in excellent examination grades, outstanding learner achievement rates and superb music, arts, sports and community achievements. We welcome apprentices and students of all ages and abilities.

We are looking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic Head of Faculty for Construction & The Built Environment, to work with a great staff team and join our high-performing College Leadership Team. The successful candidate will embrace the college’s vision of becoming exceptional and will lead the evolution of our strong and successful Construction Faculty to realise this vision.

This is an exciting opportunity as the Construction Faculty has real potential to grow rapidly and to make a difference to the Construction Industry locally and regionally. The Faculty deliver craft, services and professional programmes, ranging from Level 1 to Level 4 and also delivers a growing range of apprenticeships, in addition the Faculty has been selected as an early adopter for T-Levels, starting in September 2020.

The Faculty has so much potential and in order to help us secure the right leader, we are prepared to contribute to relocation costs and pay market forces on top of the advertised salary for a truly exceptional candidate.
