Job overview

Bryanston has a fantastic opportunity in a newly created role for an ambitious, driven and energetic football professional to drive the sport forward at an incredibly exciting time for sport at Bryanston.

Having launched football as a core sport in 2021-22, it has quickly become one of the most popular sports in our programme and, with the addition of our prep school since September, we would like to see football delivered as a key part of our high-quality, distinctive, co-educational sporting offer throughout the Bryanston family.

Our aim is to be at the forefront of developing football in the region, hosting a number of tournaments to expand the football provision for our pupils, the community and likeminded schools, and to continue to build strong links with local professional clubs and develop pathways for pupils seeking to specialise in football.

This role would suit a qualified Level 3 coach with experience of playing and/or coaching the game at a professional level, ideally.

Bryanston offers a competitive package in a fantastic environment for the right candidate, with the opportunity to the shape the future of the sport here for our pupils.

Bryanston is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.

About Bryanston School

Bryanston is an independent boarding and day school for boys and girls aged 3 to 18, set in a beautiful 400-acre site near Blandford Forum in Dorset. It includes Bryanston Prep School, a co-educational day and boarding prep school in the neighbouring village of Durweston.

Founded in 1928, the school aims above all to develop the all-round talents of individual pupils. A broad, flexible academic and extra-curricular programme is offered and each pupil benefits from considerable one-to-one help and guidance from a personal tutor, subject teachers and housemaster/housemistress. Bryanston aims to combine the best of the new and the old, as befits the school motto et nova et vetera.
