Amity International School in Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint outstanding UK trained Head of Foundation for September 2017. Number of students in Early Years 200+.

Head of Foundation Stage

The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with a thorough knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum. Our new Head will need to have a minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Years, as well as some leadership training.

In fulfilling the requirements of the post, the successful candidate will demonstrate essential professional competencies:

  • An inspirational leader with a proven track record in an Early Years setting
  • A thorough knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role in the UK or internationally
  • Proven success at driving improvement in standards of teaching and learning
  • An ability to create high performing teams
  • An ability to understand and support the needs of EAL learners
  • A strong sense of equality for all, leading by example, being accessible and approachable
  • Promoting the wider aspirations and values of the school
  • A role model in terms of enthusiasm, drive and commitment
