An outstanding graduate, with great vision and energy, is required for September 2018 to lead the French Department and to teach the subject throughout the school. The position would suit an existing Head of Department or an ambitious and highly successful teacher looking for a leadership role.

Tonbridge is a high achieving selective secondary school, with a strong boarding culture. The French Department is part of the Modern Foreign Languages Faculty, which also teaches Spanish, German and Mandarin at both IGCSE and A Level. A significant number of boys will choose to study modern languages at university each year. As well as a highly competitive salary the school will offer suitable accommodation to the successful candidate, if they do not already live in the vicinity of the school.

A willingness to contribute to the wider co-curricular and pastoral life of the school will be expected.
