Job overview

South Lincolnshire Academies Trust (encompassing Bourne Academy and Spalding Academy), are seeking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic, highly motivated, innovative, enthusiastic, well-qualified and committed Head of Geography to work at the Bourne Academy site.    Bourne is an attractive market town offering affordable housing in a beautiful area and with easy access to London, Nottingham, Cambridge, Leicester and Peterborough (London is only 45 minutes by train from Peterborough).

The successful candidate will inspire and guide on best practice within the Department to ensure the continued outstanding success of our students.  With excellent subject knowledge we are seeking individuals with a strong classroom presence that are highly motivated and driven to help students to achieve their full potential.

If you have the drive to make a difference for our students and have an exciting and innovative approach to engage students of all abilities across the Key Stages, then we would like to hear from you.  You will be able to demonstrate highly effective teaching skills, the ability to raise student achievement and the ability to work as part of an effective and successful team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Head of Department.    The Geography Department at Bourne Academy is well resourced in its own block and has a committed team of specialist teachers.  The Department has a track record of high levels of academic achievement and engagement in innovative teaching and learning practice.

If you would you like to forward your career, this superb opportunity may be for you.  The Trust offers exceptionally pleasant working environments.  Both Bourne and Spalding sites are a calm and safe place, where staff and students work hard, achieve a great deal and enjoy excellent working relationships.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all its staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  All post holders are subject to a satisfactory disclosure prior to taking up an offer of employment.
