We are a high achieving and highly regarded department within the Academy and is conveniently located at the heart of the school. The classrooms, in close proximity, foster mutual support and emphasise the importance of geography for our students. The Geography area is rich in resources, constantly evolving to provide an engaging experience for our students. Also our large classrooms boast state-of-the-art smartboards, enhancing the learning experience for all. 

Our vision is to put students first in order to raise standards and transform lives. To make this happen, we innovate constantly, including a curriculum that is designed to enable personalised learning in depth and with breadth. In Geography, our students embark on a comprehensive three-year Key Stage 3 journey. Beginning with one hour per week in Year 7, it expands to two hours in Year 8 and Year 9. Our robust geography curriculum revolves around core concepts: sustainability, human and physical interactions, physical processes, climate change, and development. We design our topics to exceed the National Curriculum standards, exploring local, national, and international levels.This foundation not only prepares students for our highly popular GCSE and A Level courses, following the AQA syllabus, but also equips them for life beyond the academy.

We are seeking passionate individuals who are dedicated to providing a dynamic learning experience for our students. As part of our commitment to holistic education, we offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities and organise various field trips to enhance their educational journey.
